The Hong Kong Dubai General Association and The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai are the key institutions committed to strengthening economic, cultural, and commercial ties between Hong Kong and Dubai. Through curated events and strategic initiatives, we aim to facilitate collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth between Hong Kong and Dubai.
Since the Dubai Economic and Trade Office (ETO) began operations in 2021, trade between Hong Kong and the UAE has grown significantly. In 2022, Hong Kong exported US$2.72 billion worth of goods to the UAE—mainly gold, precious metal scraps, and jewelry—while importing US$10.1 billion, primarily gold, diamonds, and jewelry.
Today, the UAE has become one of Hong Kong’s main trading partners and the largest in the Middle East, representing 69.8% of Hong Kong’s total trade with that region. In 2022, the value of trade between Hong Kong and the UAE increased by 27.6% year‑on‑year, driven by a 35.3% growth in exports from Hong Kong to the UAE.
